Favourite Body Shop Products

I've been super busy with Uni & work lately that I haven't been able to upload a post! So I thought as I sit here running my bath, i'd jot down a little!
I've been a huge fan of the Body Shop products for a few years now & am always super exciting to buy something new! I have to admit, the Body Shop isn't super cheap, as when I was younger I always used to think £14 for a body butter is completely ridiculous.. However, for the amount, and the quality of the product, it's totally justifiable. I also have a loyalty card for the store which honestly is incredible, you receive 10% off every purchase, getting free gifts, and at least once, if not twice a month they email me with 40 % of any order I choose, online and in store, with free delivery! Really impossible to complain.
Anyway ... enough of me promoting their loyalty card and on with the post!

So although I own many more Body Shop products than shown in this photo, I just wanted to share my most favourite or we would be here forever!
I've decided to stick to skin care - even though their candles are to die for!

Firstly is the Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue.
Now I absolutely hate the smell of mint, however this is bearable. The smell is strong, but not overpowering and you cannot smell it once you have massaged into your feet. The cream is very rich and nourishing, I like to apply every evening right before bed and will usually wear socks to lock in the moisture.

Next is a favourite of every Body Shop lover, their body butter.
Available in hundreds of flavours, however this is a recent buy of mine & it's definitely made its way to my favourite! I believe this is limited edition in the flavour Early Harvest Raspberry, and my god, incredible is the only way to describe this. Incredible.

Next is a cleanser I have spoken about before. The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. This is so luxurious and calming on the skin & eyes. I use this on dry skin and wash away with a Body Shop Muslin Cloth. I have very sensitive skin, and this does not irritate at all. It's also very good at removing hefty eye make up!

Again, something i've spoken about before, Hand Cream. These little beauties are everywhere in my house, I currently own 8, in every flavour & I love each and every one. I won't ever leave the house without one of these!

Lastly on this mini favourites is the Strawberry Body Puree, which is similar to the body butters but lighter and comes with a pump which is a little less messy! The puree's are a lot cooler and much thiner which makes them very easy to rub into the skin. I believe they are also a fair bit cheaper than the butters!

And thats it for my favourite Body Shop products!
All products mentioned are available at The Body Shop, but don't forget to join their loyalty system too! It's so worth it!

Holiday Essentials

So as i've just returned from another summer holiday, I thought i'd do a post of all my holiday essentials.
I went to Cyprus where it was around 40 degrees each day, so these essentials are for hot sunbathing holidays.. i'm not much of an 'activity' holiday goer...

First is haircare, although you should always use hair protectors I find it extremely important in the heat as its super drying, and chlorine is never good for anything!
I took Moroccan Oil & Loreal Studio Hot & Straight heat defence, both of which I use all the time anyway. The Moroccan  Oil is super moisturising when hair is dry and damaged. The heat defence, although I rarely use heat products apart from a blow dry, works really well at keeping hair straight and preventing damage from heat. Its also super cheap!

A pretty obvious, but very important essential! Sun lotion is obviously important for a hundred reasons.
I used the Nivea Sun Protect and Bronze factor 20. I also used the Soltan Sun Lip Balm factor 30 to protect my lips as they are super painful if they burn! I use a factor 20 as my skin is not super fair, but this protected my skin and gave a lovely tan! I also didn't burn at all, when usually I burn in some place.
To keep your tan, and skin super hydrating you need a good aftersun. I used the Garnier Ambre Solaire Aftersun. Its very moisturising, and non-greasy which I find very important as I hate waiting for it to dry, or feeling sticky.

Sunglasses! For protection and fashion! I am not a big sunglasses wearing in the UK, only on holiday! My favourites for this year were a Cat Eye pair from Topshop (back), and a Micheal Kors pair. (front)

A travel size of your favourite products! This is a smaller version of my Garnier Micellar Water. Which if you have used before, you will know the original is huge! This size is plenty for a 2 week holiday. I use a thicker cleanser at home, but when its hot and you've had a long day and evening, Micellar water is an excellent, effective remover.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer. This is with out a doubt the only bronzer for a summer holiday. It is the perfect shade for summer, as it is super matte and helps to accentuate a natural tan. It is also very build able depending on your skin tone. I just cannot rate this enough!

And finally.. a good book! I love reading on holiday, I never have time at home with Uni work, so on holiday its very relaxing to have a good book. I may do a little review on all the books I read, so watch this space!

July Favourites.

The first of this months favourites is taken from my previous MAC post. MACs Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. Pop over to that post to read more about it! :)

The next one is a new make up brush I purchased to use with the new highlighting powder just mentioned! For my highlighter I use a Crown Contour Brush as mentioned before. However as I now have 2 highlighters to go between during the week I didn't want to have to wash the brush each time I used a different one.
I picked up this one by Seventeen from boots for a BARGAIN £2.99! I'm pretty sure no brush in my collection is as cheap as this & I brought it totally on a whim. I thought for that price, it isn't going to be excellent. If I'm honest, the only reason I brought it was because the Real Techniques Setting Brush I had my eye on to use with this product was out of stock. Now i'm so glad it was, saving myself a good few £££!
Its super super soft & excellent quality. Maybe as good as my real techniques, and is definitely better than a few MAC ones I own!
I also love the cute packaging and love the colours and writing on the brush! Really recommend. I may have to purchase other brushes from this collection.

I'm a big Body Shop & Handcream fan. So put the 2 together, and The Body Shops hand creams are amazing. I love their packaging as it makes it super easy to ensure you get every last bit of product! I've gotten through 4 already, and have these left in my collection to get through & probably purchase more!
They are super non-greasy and soak into the hands within seconds leaving no residue. They also smell incredible! They are the perfect size for any handbag & also fit into my apron at work.

The next is something I was sent free from Feel Unique. This is the REDKEN Diamond Oil. I've been loving the traditional and well loved by many Moroccan Oil. I've been using REDKEN shampoo and condition for a good few years now, so as I was sent this I thought I may as well give it a go!
The bottle is so heavy and so glamourous. Its very good quality packaging and is all glass. The product itself doesn't smell as nice as Moroccan Oil, in fact it has little smell at all. I apply around 4-5 drops in the end of my hair before blowdrying and it keeps my hair super soft and shiny.

Lastly is a moisturiser. This is the Nivea Firming Body Moisturiser. Its very rich and leaves my skin feeling very soft. It absorbs quickly which is good for any moisturiser as I hate feeling sticky and wet.
It is a firming moisturiser which is the reason I brought it before a recent holiday. It really did make my skin feel firmer and tighter within the 2 weeks which it claims to do. I've been using an after sun lately as i've been on holiday & i've defiantly noticed a difference since I stopped using this and I can't wait to start using it again.

This Weeks Top Product.

As a feature on my blog, i've decided to do a weekly product favourite.
This week being the first, the spot goes to an old favourite of mine, which I use every single day. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is a holy grail of a product. It claims to be able to work with a lot of conditions including burns, to shaping brows & holding them in place. It can also be used as a moisturiser and a lip balm. The product is very universal and can be used in so many different ways that the price tag of £25 becomes pretty universal.
It is a jelly like texture, very similar of vaseline, making it the perfect lip product, which in fact is the very reason I use the product. I apply it every night & it ensures my lips are kept super soft, never crack and allows lipstick to glide on perfectly.
As well as being very universal, this size lasts for ever. I have been using the same one since February of this year, & and it is not even half way through yet. However, do consider I only use this on my lips and I could imagine the product would disappear quicker should it be used in larger areas of skin regularly.
It really is an amazing product, and it would definitely feature in my favourites every week if I could.

Also featured in the image includes 2x hair ties, Rimmel Kate Moss 'Nudes' lipstick, Yankee Candle (cannot remember the name!), DKNY Watch and Pandora Ring.

This Weeks Favourite Purchases.

So this week i've brought a few items & I thought i'd share with you the ones I love!

Sugar Baby Tahiti Sweetie Candle - £6.99
The first of this weeks favourite is a candle I picked up from Home Sense. It smells exactly like my Boux Avenue candle and was a lot cheaper. It is very sweet & very fresh. I love the box it also comes in with the diamond on the top.

Michael Kors Purse - RRP £89, Brought for £29
This was another bargain from Home Sense. One i really was not expecting to find! A grey Michael Kors purse at a bargain under £30! I already have a huge brown Michael Kors Tote Bag which cost a near £300 which I got as a gift, so when I spotted this bargain in a home store I was completely thrilled.

CND Shellac in Salmon Run - £12.69
I used to have Shellac manicures once every 2 weeks. But earlier on this year I decided to buy the kit myself and have collected various colours since.
This is a new one to my collection - Salmon Run. It's a lovely light coral/orange and is very suitable for summer & holidays.

Chanel Chance 100ml - £80
My absolute favourite scent of the minute. Chanel Chance. I am a huge fan of Chanel CoCo Mademoiselle, which is my signature scent, which is a very classic fragrance. However this one is lighter and more summery, which I love.

The Hunt £3.99, Sparkling Stilettos £6.60
This week I have brought 2 novels. One for home & one for an upcoming holiday.
The Hunt by T.J.Lebbon is a thriller story, which I LOVE. I find them exciting & that I can't wait to see what is going to happen. I am so far only 3 chapters in and already it is very thrilling, so I will post my verdict once i've finished!
The second book i've purchased for a holiday, by TOWIE Star Jess Wright, Sparkling Stilettos. This as the cover clearly denotes, is not a thriller. However was keen to read the story after hearing Jess talk about the story line on television.

Sandals - Accessorize £35
Lastly I brought these sandals from accessorize for an event. Although after wearing them for 4 hours I lost one of the main diamond pieces - typical!
However I returned them this week and they were more than happy to exchange for a new pair.
They are stunning and looking lovely on, however be aware to be very careful when wearing this kind of sandal, or ensure you retain a receipt as these are very prone to losing their stones!

What have you been loving?
